The ' Boom Turf ' football boot is a 100 series ( mid-low tier ) turf boot designed for Power Athletics Ltd.
Through trend forecasting it was found that the 2014 year leading up to the World Cup was going to be infiltrated by high contrasting patterns. Adidas released the battle pack line and Nike had just launched the Magista ( first flyknit football boot ) . The ideation phase was focused around creating a unique look that stayed in line with the trends while also meeting the required price point.
The vamp of the boot makes use of a distinct double stitch pattern that enhances touch and ball control while also creating the persona of the boot. The sharp angle aesthetics are repeated throughout the design and are complimented by the contrasting two-tone colour ways. A 'screen-emboss' logo application is used to create a seamless look that compliments the reverse-seam upper panel it sits on.
